Terms of service
These terms cover everything sold at sequenceforge.shop. Buying a sequence means you agree to them.
What you are buying
You are buying a licence to use an xLights sequence on your own display. You are not buying the sequence itself, and ownership of the work stays with us.
The licence is personal and permanent. Buy it once and run it every season on your own display, for as long as you like. If you want to run it at a commercial display, a show that charges admission, or a client installation, email us first and we will sort out the right licence.
What you may do
Change anything. Recolour it, cut a section, swap our pictures for your own, remap it onto different props, pull parts of it into another sequence of yours. Once the file is open in xLights it behaves like any sequence you built yourself.
Record your display running it and post that video anywhere you like, including YouTube, Facebook and TikTok, with or without crediting us. Credit is appreciated and never required.
What you may not do
Do not give the file away, sell it, trade it, post it, or put it in a package, bundle, collection or group buy. That covers the .xsqz, the .xsq inside it, the rendered .fseq, and any edited version of any of them. One purchase is one person. If a friend wants it, send them here.
Do not sell a sequence you built by editing ours, however much of it you changed. Do not present our work as your own, and do not re-upload our preview videos.
The music
No recording is included with any sequence, and none can be. Buying your own copy of the song, and any licence your display needs where you live, is on you. Each product page links the track on Amazon Music and iTunes.
Support
If a file will not import, or does not behave the way the preview showed, email help@sequenceforge.shop and we will fix it. There is no time limit on that. Support does not cover teaching xLights from scratch or troubleshooting your controller, though we will usually point you in the right direction.
Custom work
Custom and exclusive sequences are quoted separately, and each one has its own terms agreed in writing before any money changes hands. An exclusive sequence is never sold in this store.
No warranty
Sequences are sold as they are. We cannot promise a sequence will suit a particular display, and our liability for any problem is limited to what you paid for the file.
If the licence is broken
Sharing or reselling a sequence ends your licence at once and closes your account with us.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms. Anything you have already bought keeps the terms that were in force on the day you bought it. Questions go to help@sequenceforge.shop. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida.
